SIGNIFICANCE OF STUDYING ANTHROPOCENTRIC PHRASEOLOGICAL UNITS IN UZBEK AND ENGLISH

Abstract

This article explores the significance of studying anthropocentric phraseological units in Uzbek and English, emphasizing their role in reflecting cultural values, beliefs, and social norms. Anthropocentric phraseological units—expressions that center around human experiences and characteristics—are linguistic artifacts deeply embedded in the cultural contexts from which they arise. By analyzing these units in both Uzbek and English, the study highlights the cultural insights they provide, the linguistic comparisons they facilitate, and the challenges they present in translation and interpretation.
