CONTINUITY AND INTEGRITY IN ENGLISH LANGUAGE TEXTBOOK COMPLEXES: MODERN APPROACHES
Abstract
The present study investigates current practices aiming at continuity and integrity in English language textbooks in education. A successful textbook complex is characterized by clear progression and consistent methodological approaches as well as the integration of technological components with the preservation of pedagogical coherence. The article puts forward a series of recommendations for the developers of the textbooks as well as for the curriculum designers to improve continuity mechanisms in English language teaching materials with a great emphasis on systematic planning and stakeholder collaboration as two key factors in the process of cohesive educational resources creation.
