Abstract

This article explores the ideological and theological struggles that occurred in the Islamic world and their artistic depiction in Lukmon Burikhon’s novel “Imam Moturidiy”. The study analyses the activities of misguided sects—such as the Mu‘tazilites, Qadariyya, the Khawarij, and groups involved in the “Sacred Conspiracy”—who attempted to undermine the doctrinal foundations of Islam. The article also examines the author’s literary skill in portraying these conflicts and the ways these movements sought to weaken the Muslim community.
