THE CONCEPT AND SPECIFICITY OF PUBLICISTIC STYLE

The article represents the relevance of the research due to the fact that in modern philology the phenomenon of publicistic style is the subject of active discussion and is increasingly becoming the subject of humanitarian research in general. In this context, the comparative aspect of the study of the linguistic characteristics of English-language publicist style is relevant. The purpose of the author in this article is to study the linguistic characteristics, concept and specifity of publicistic style. To achieve this goal, it is necessary to explore the concept, functions and main genres of publicist style that is provided in the article.
