LINGUISTIC STUDY OF PHRASEOLOGICAL UNITS EXPRESSING COLOR IN ENGLISH AND UZBEK LANGUAGES
Abstract
Language is not merely a tool for communication; it is a reflection of culture, history, and societal norms. Within languages, phraseological units play a significant role, encapsulating cultural nuances and semantic richness. One intriguing aspect of phraseological units is their expression of color, which often carries deep cultural and psychological significance. In this article, we delve into the linguistic study of phraseological units expressing color in both English and Uzbek languages, exploring their structures, usage, and cultural implications.
