In an increasingly interconnected world, effective intercultural communication is vital for fostering understanding and collaboration among people of diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds. Educational dictionaries play a crucial role in facilitating this communication by providing learners with language resources and cultural insights. This article examines the role of educational dictionaries in promoting intercultural communication, with a specific focus on materials from the English and Uzbek languages. Through a comprehensive review of literature and analysis of English and Uzbek dictionaries, the study reveals how these resources incorporate cultural context, cater to various proficiency levels, facilitate cross-cultural comparisons, and utilize digital features to enhance learning experiences. The findings underscore the significance of educational dictionaries as indispensable tools for language learners seeking to navigate cross-cultural interactions effectively. By equipping learners with language skills and cultural awareness, educational dictionaries contribute to building bridges between individuals from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds.
