INTEGRATING THEORY AND PRACTICE IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF STUDENTS’ INTERCULTURAL COMPETENCE
Abstract
This paper explores the theoretical underpinnings and methodological approaches employed in fostering intercultural competence among students in educational settings. It examines key theoretical frameworks that inform the understanding and development of intercultural competence and discusses various pedagogical methods and strategies utilized to enhance students' abilities to effectively and appropriately interact across cultural differences. The integration of cultural knowledge, interactive learning methods, and modern technologies as effective tools in this process is highlighted. This review provides insights for educators and researchers seeking to promote intercultural competence in an increasingly interconnected world.
