Abstract

In this article, one of the main linguacultural units called non-equivalent lexemes and its types are discusssed on the examples in Dan Brown’s “Angels and Demons”. It is apparent that in the process of literary translation some difficulties related to the translation of language units which define culture and nationality could be faced. In such situations the translators are demanded tobe high qualified not only in languges, but also in different fields: cultural awareness, broad-minded, good at thinking. This article shows the different methods to translate non-equivalent lexical units from one language into another.
