ENHANCING WRITING SKILLS VIA THE CLIL APPROACH
Abstract
This article explores the effectiveness of the Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) approach in enhancing students’ writing skills. CLIL combines subject content with language learning, creating a meaningful and context-based environment for developing linguistic competence. The study analyzes how integrating writing tasks into subject-based instruction improves learners’ ability to express ideas clearly, organize texts logically, and use appropriate vocabulary and grammar. Various teaching strategies, including scaffolding, collaborative writing, and task-based activities, are discussed as essential components of successful CLIL implementation. The findings suggest that CLIL not only strengthens writing proficiency but also promotes critical thinking, learner autonomy, and motivation. The article concludes with practical recommendations for educators seeking to incorporate CLIL into their writing instruction.
