THE TRANSFORMATION OF MYTHOLOGICAL THINKING IN MODERN LITERATURE
Abstract
This article examines the role of mythopoetic thinking in twentieth-century world literature, particularly in the works of James Joyce and John Steinbeck. The study analyzes the relationship between myth and the novel, the transformation of artistic consciousness, and the evolution of modern literary interpretation. Special attention is given to the philosophical and psychological dimensions of literary texts, the dynamics of internal plot movement, and the influence of Western literary traditions on modern Uzbek prose. The article also highlights the emergence of mythological novels and novellas in contemporary Uzbek literature.
